Our fly-in safaris to the Namib Desert, the world's tallest sand dunes at Sossusvlei, and Etosha Park are perfect for those with limited vacation time and a desire to see much of what the real Africa has to offer. This "highlights" safari allows you to enjoy awesome desert scenery and great wildlife encounters as you fly to a fascinating new destination each day. A special attraction every day is the night skies below the equator with the Milky Way and Southern Cross, which are magnificent beyond words. At the opulent Sossusvlei Mountain Lodge, you'll have your own telescope to observe the stars. The accommodations and the cuisine on this tour are outstanding and always the best available in the areas we visit. The Namib Desert is the world's oldest and probably the most beautiful. The high iron-oxide content of the sands and rocks imparts striking reddish hues that turn the Namib Desert into an artist's palette. You can climb up one of the giant dunes at Sossuvlei, where the view from the top is truly spectacular. Experience Damaraland Camp, voted Africa's best eco-tourism resort, and enjoy an opportunity to search for desert elephants, black rhinos, and other animals adapted to arid conditions. The aerial views of Etosha National Park are fabulous. You will have a chance to see lions, cheetahs, elephants, and dozens of other species. You will also be able to view wildlife on 4x4 game drives at Kavita Lion Lodge, Ongava Camp, and the Mushara Lodge. Ongava Camp has both white and black rhino on their private game reserve. After Etosha, you'll see more African big cats at Okonjima, a lovely resort and a predator rehabilitation center. Okonjima is also the home of the Afri-Cat Foundation. You're sure to see lions and cheetahs there, with a good chance to view leopards. |

we will refund any deposits if a "client choice" safari cannot be

"The night sky in the bush is
spectacular, worth the price of the trip. Seeing the animals in the
wild -- especially the elephants, giraffes, and lions -- is
a once in a lifetime thrill."
"We walked a few hundred yards to a spot that allowed us to watch the sun
sink below the mountains and then cast the purple, yellow and red hues
across the mountains and the dunes. It was spectacular! Since
it was the full moon, we simply turned our backs to the sun and watched
the moon come up through the saddle of two mountains - moonrise and sunset
all in less than 10 minutes."

The Purpose of These Safaris EcoVitality is a non-profit environmental group set up to protect ecosystems and wildlife in remote areas of poor countries, where most of Earth's biodiversity is located. Because all the other conservation strategies have been failing, we're using an economic-incentives approach that helps people in poor rural areas get what they want most, better economic welfare, in return for their help in getting what we want, better nature conservation progress.
We're applying this
economics approach by
offering superb
wildlife safaris and
using the profits from these safaris to fund lion conservation programs in
partnership with Afri-Leo Foundation of Namibia. Our unique
eco-safaris are operated in partnership with Honeyguide Safaris, a
professional tour-guide company run by Hobby Kreiner, one of
Namibia's leading environmentalists |
