Combining Conservation and Development in Poor Countries

Reasons Why Namibia is the Safest Safari Country in Africa

To summarize the U.S. State Department Travel Warnings:

Namibia has a stable democratic government, a "moderately developed economy," good medical care in cities and large towns, and good roads.

Unlike in East Africa, Namibia has had no terrorist attacks and no attacks directed against Americans.  Namibia, the former Southwest Africa, has no population base supporting Islamic extremists or other radical groups.

Namibia has a lower crime rate than the East African countries
and South Africa, with a much lower rate of crimes of violence.
