A roadblock in Etosha National Park
Our Purpose in Offering These Safaris
EcoVitality is a non-profit, tax-exempt
environmental NGO set up to protect ecosystems and wildlife in rural areas
of poor countries, where most of Earth's biodiversity is located.
Because conventional conservation strategies have
failed, we're using a new economic
-incentives approach that helps the people in
poor rural areas get what they want most, better economic welfare, in
return for their helping us attain what we want, better nature
conservation progress.
In applying this incentives-based
approach, we are offering superb
wildlife safaris and then using
the profits from these safaris to fund lion conservation by supporting
the Afri-Leo Foundation of Namibia. These safaris are operated through our
partnership with Honeyguide Safaris, a professional tour-guide company run
by Hobby Kreiner, one of Namibia's leading guides and leading
environmentalists.

Petroglyphs at Tywfelfontein
"The animal spotting was incredible!
Not only did we see all the major species, but many times we caught them
in [unusual] circumstances more likely to be seen on National Geographic
than on the average safari."

Epupa Falls
"This
was the best trip I have ever taken in more than 20 years of travel.
The excitement and energy from constant discovery made it exotic,
while the structure made it comfortable.
Every day offered something new to challenge my biases and
preconceptions.
After 2 weeks of ever changing variety and depth of experiences,
I am more awestruck than ever about the beautiful, fragile complexity of
life on earth." John H.
